Cabin Fever Auctions Terms and Conditions

By registering to bid and/or submitting any bid, you acknowledge and accept these terms and conditions.
Thank You.

BUYER’S PREMIUM

  • 16% will be added to all successful bids in our online auctions.

SALES TAX

  • 6% PA sales tax will be added to all sales including buyer’s premium unless a valid sales tax resale exemption is provided.

  • If you have a tax exemption/resale number, please let us know before the auction closes, so we can confirm the PA sales tax has been removed from your invoice.

ONLINE REGISTRATION

  • In order to bid in our online auctions, you must register on Cabin Fever’s online bidding platform – cabinfeverauctions.bidwrangler.com

  • There is no fee to register. When you register for our online auctions, you agree to a $1 authorization on the credit card you provide (You NEED a Credit Card to Register). This is a hold only, NOT a deposit or charge. This is done to validate your card only. Please make sure that your credit card information is current, and that the address on your bidder profile is the same address used for your credit card statement. This Credit Card authorization happens for EVERY auction date you register for. Please make sure you will have funds available the night the auction closes for payment.

BID INCREMENTS
ALL BIDS ARE FINAL. ALL BIDS ARE WHOLE DOLLARS – PLEASE CHECK YOUR BIDS WHEN YOU CONFIRM. NO DECIMALS ARE TAKEN SO $2250 WILL BE TWO THOUSAND, TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS, NOT TWENTY TWO DOLLARS AND FIFTY CENTS.

  • $1 – $9: Increment: $1

  • $10 – $49: Increment: $2

  • $50 – $99: Increment: $5

  • $100 – $499: Increment: $10

  • $500 – $999: Increment: $25

  • $1000 – $9,999: Increment: $50

  • $10,000 – $19,999: Increment: $100

  • $20,000 – $29,999: Increment: $250

  • $30,000 – $49,999: Increment: $500

  • $50,000 +: Increment: $1,000

  • The auctioneer reserves the right to alter the bid increments at any time.

BIDDING & LOT CLOSING

  • ALL auctions use 3 options for bidding:

    • Next increment, click and confirm to bid the next increment.

    • Specific amount, this is a hard bid of the entered amount. Item high bid goes directly to your entered amount regardless of increment.

    • Max Bid, this allows you to enter your maximum amount you’d like to pay and allow the computer to bid for you. You are high bidder on the item at the next increment over any bid another bidder enters up to your max. If another bidder enters the same amount, the first bid in is the high bidder.

  • ALL Bids are final.

  • ALL auctions are Timed Auctions. Items all begin to end at the starting time and close at a rate between 2 to 4 lots per minute.

  • ALL Items have an “anti-sniping” time extension if there is active bidding at the end of the time for the item. Any bid placed within 2 minutes of that item’s close resets the close time to 2 minutes. This continues until no one enters a further bid.

  • For your planning, every item has a countdown time/end time so you can plan exactly when you need to be on the site to bid if you wish.

  • Additionally, you can click the “star” on the lot which places items you want to watch in “My Items” and you can follow them in this section.

PREVIEWS

  • All previews are welcome BY APPOINTMENT ONLY M-F 9AM-11:30AM AND 12:30-3PM, please call/email to request a time to inspect any items and confirm item location.

PAYMENT

  • We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express

  • If you are a successful bidder in one of our online auctions, the credit card or cards you provided at registration will be billed shortly after the auction closes (generally within 1-2 hours at most), and a receipt/invoice will be emailed to you following this payment. Please check Spam Folders for Invoices.

  • All merchandise invoice totals are due immediately following the last lot closing and invoices being prepared. It is expected that funds will be available at this time

  • All invoices are emailed within 3 hours of auction close. Should an email be returned we will contact you. However, if you do not receive an invoice and can not find it in your spam, etc – it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to email us to have a copy resent – info@cabinfeverauctions.com

  • If your card is declined for any reason, you may receive an email telling you this and you must respond to this email or risk being blocked from future bidding.

  • Absolutely NO returns will be accepted.

MERCHANDISE PICKUP

  • There are NO pickups available on the day of or the day following any auction. Pickup schedules start at least 1 business day AFTER the close of the auction.

  • NO appointments can be scheduled for the next day. Example – Today is Thursday, you CAN NOT make an appointment for Friday. We handle thousands of goods and we require time to pull your purchase.

  • ALL pickups are scheduled using the link emailed out with our system “Shipping Saint” which coordinates Pickup Schedules and Shipping.

  • ALL appointments are scheduled Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9am & 3pm, select Saturdays Between 8am & 11am. VERY limited appointments available outside the given times and you MUST email or call for a request. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP.

  • ALL merchandise picked up at our locations are subject to PA sales tax at 6% unless you present a valid resale tax license (from PA or your home state). PA sales tax will be charged for any picked-up merchandise, regardless of your home state.

  • Buyers MUST inspect, confirm, and sign for their purchases prior to leaving our site. Once you leave with any goods it is your responsibility.  No disputes discussed following this acceptance.

SHIPPING MERCHANDISE

  • Shipping is all IN-HOUSE shipping via UPS, and USPS for most items through our agent "Shipping Saint".

  • WE WILL NOT SHIP ANY PAINTS, LIQUIDS, OR HAZARDOUS MATERIALS.

  • SOME OVERSIZED AND FRAGILE ITEMS WILL NOT SHIP. LARGE ITEMS WILL COST A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT TO SHIP. ALL SHIPPING RATES HAVE BEEN RISING AND WE ARE NOT IN CONTROL OF THE SHIPPING COSTS.  IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT THE SIZE OR FRAGILITY OF AN ITEM FOR SHIPPING, PLEASE ASK.

  • All merchandise must be paid for before it is prepared for shipping.

  • Any bidder requiring shipment MUST respond to the email/text link sent following the sale from our agent “Shipping Saint” for shipping and pickup scheduling. You must respond for EVERY sale date.

  • The bidder is responsible for all charges associated with packaging and shipping of the item including a minimum $5 per invoice handling charge, materials charges, packing time charges, and they shall be paid directly using Shipping Saint (separately from the item invoice). Buyers requiring shipping will have communications via email and txt message sent through Shipping Saint.

  • Shipping Charges are charged SEPARATELY from item invoices through our shipping system agent “Shipping Saint”.

  • Once requested, you will receive more information on shipping by text/email within approx. 10 BUSINESS DAYS following your REQUEST for shipping.

  • ALL Merchandise is insured for ALL Shipments.

  • ALL Shipments when prepared will have 1 destination and all packages in shipment will be mailed together.

  • Buyers MUST inspect goods within 7 days of shipment delivery date. Any item discrepancies/issues will not be considered after this 7 day period.

  • We try to combine lots and auction dates for shipping, however not all invoices may be combined at shipping. This depends on the timing and the size of goods. Combining multiple auctions does not assure a single box shipment or lower costs, etc.

  • Please check Spam Folders for Invoices for the Auction and Shipping Saint. If you do not pay your shipping invoice within 5 days of it being sent, your card on file will be charged and the items delivered to the carrier.

  • ALL GOODS with no contact for 1 week will be placed in the shipping queue. When packed in ~10 days, your credit card will be charged for shipping and packages delivered to the shipping carrier.

MERCHANDISE OFFERED

  • All items are second hand, nothing is “new” directly from the original manufacturer.

  • All items are sold AS IS, WITH NO GUARANTEE. You should examine all items carefully, ask all questions PRIOR to bidding, and bid accordingly. We DO NOT have capacity to test and/or guarantee items to function – bid accordingly.

  • Cabin Fever Auctions makes every effort to accurately describe/picture all items offered in our sales, however, it is the bidder's responsibility to determine the exact condition of each lot and the contents of any lot. Please request additional info, condition reports and/or additional pictures at least 2 days prior to auction closing to allow proper response. You may request more information or confirm any details about an item by EMAIL or PHONE CALL.

  • PLEASE INSPECT THE PICTURES AND DESCRIPTIONS. If there is a picture which is not described in the lot – DO NOT ASSUME that it is included in the lot. If there is NOT a picture of what is described – DO NOT ASSUME that it is included. If you are not sure, please EMAIL us to verify. Mistakes can and do occasionally happen, we handle thousands of items each month.

  • Any details listed are offered as a courtesy to bidders, and are opinions only, not statements of fact, and do not imply any warranty concerning condition, completeness, or any assumption of liability. The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is perfect or free from wear, flaws, or characteristics of age. All Items are sold as is and Cabin Fever Auctions is not responsible for errors and/or omissions of condition. IF YOU ARE NOT CONFIDENT IN THE ITEM YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BY THE PHOTOS AND DESCRIPTION, PLEASE DO NOT BID.

RETURNS

  • Cabin Fever Auctions hires knowledgeable experts to provide catalog descriptions on the merchandise we sell. Every effort is made to ensure those descriptions are accurate, complete, and that they fully disclose any exceptions to condition. We handle thousands of items, so this does NOT guarantee any or all flaws are observed. Effort is made to provide any answers to questions raised prior to bidding given proper time (generally 48 hours).

  • All items are sold AS IS and all sales are FINAL. There are ABSOLUTELY NO Returns accepted. Ask all questions prior to bidding and if you are not entirely confident in what you are bidding on we recommend you DO NOT BID.

RIGHTS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • By participating in Cabin Fever’s auction, you are agreeing that the auction is occurring in Pennsylvania, merchandise is being struck down in Pennsylvania, contract of sale is being entered into in Pennsylvania, payments will be made in Pennsylvania, and PA state sales tax will be due unless exempt by law or a valid PA Tax Exemption Certification is provided prior to sale.

  • All announcements/emails made on the day of the auction supersede any other previously announced or published materials.

  • The auctioneer will determine the highest bidder. The auctioneer alone has the right to reopen the bidding of an item if deemed necessary due to a dispute during the auction or items may be relisted at a future date following any dispute.

  • Cabin Fever Auctions and its representatives reserve the right to remove attendees or block bidders for any reason before, during, or after auction closing.  Anyone harassing or threatening any Cabin Fever Auctions staff will not be tolerated and is immediate grounds for removal, account being blocked indefinitely and/or potential cancellation of transactions.

  • Please preview your bids before you confirm them, take your time! BY PLACING A BID, YOU ARE ENTERING INTO A BINDING CONTRACT TO PURCHASE THE ITEMS. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OR BID CANCELLATIONS OFFERED. BY REGISTERING, THE BIDDER IS PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE, LEGALLY AND FINANCIALLY FOR ALL AUCTION ITEMS BID UPON WHETHER REPRESENTING YOURSELF OR ACTING AS AN AGENT FOR ANOTHER PARTY. ANY ONLINE BID ACCEPTED AT THIS PUBLIC AUCTION IS A LEGAL AND BINDING CONTRACT TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE. ANY BIDDER FAILING TO COMPLETE THE PURCHASE WILL BE BANNED FROM BIDDING AT ALL FUTURE AUCTION EVENTS AND MAY BE PURSUED FOR CIVIL AND/OR CRIMINAL VIOLATIONS.  ANY DISPUTE/THREAT MAY RESULT IN CANCELLATION OF ANY TRANSACTION.

  • ALL Items are your responsibility once delivered to shipping agent or signed for at pickup. It is expected that you will make an appointment for pickup of your goods, request shipping through our agent "Shipping Saint", or email/call to request other arrangements. All goods with no contact for 1 week will be placed in the shipping queue. When packed, your credit card will be charged for shipping and packages delivered to the shipping carrier. ANY GOODS LEFT LONGER THAN 2 WEEKS (14 DAYS) following any auction close date without communications to us or without shipping payment are considered abandoned (paid or unpaid) and all right to goods or payment is waived.
